Stately Homes are a feature of the area as are the
historical border peel towers. Visitors are welcome at:-
Walking opportunities are endless be it for a few hours, a full
days walk or for those passing through Melrose on one of the long
distance walking routes.

Fishing on the River Tweed is famous for its Salmon. Even
although you may not have a permit for this there are other rivers,
lochs and reservoirs where the visitor will get access to wonderful
fishing opportunities. We at Dunfermline House will be able to advise
you on locations and availability.

Golf is available to the visitor here in Melrose and at many
courses throughout the region. The Borders has two Championship
courses at Cardrona and Roxburghe. Be it a championship, 18 hole or 9
hole course you will never be far away when you stay at Dunfermline House.
